Amelia is an artist, designer and maker.

She grew up in a home nestled among lush native bush in Tāmaki Makaurau, so there is no surprise at her love of wood, which features prominently in her work.

Amelia creates her art pieces, sculpture and furniture in a range of scales with quality and beauty at the core.

Her process is a journey of discovery - she finds fallen trees, uncovers the grain, and brings the timber’s unique qualities to the surface. Each piece of wood has its own story to tell and, created by hand, each of Amelia’s works has its own difference.

With a Masters of Architecture from RMIT, she applies her disciplined knowledge to the field of the arts, whilst juxtaposing the ideas of practicality and beauty together through her work. Traversing the boundaries between form and function, art and furniture, precision and fluidity. Her latest sculptural furniture collection Equilibrium exists at the nexus of object art, contemporary woodworking, and furniture design.

Aside from creating beautiful pieces of art and furniture Amelia is available to assist with design and make projects for custom fabrication, and one off commissioned pieces made from wood for your home, or your hospitality and retail projects.
